My father had a Universal Life Policy and passed away two months ago. I was informed that the policy had lapsed a few months prior for non payment of the premium. A request to reinstate had been submitted but not money was sent. After reviewing payments, I uncovered that there was a premium payment that they didn't credit to his account so they cancelled the policy in error. As the beneficiary do I have a legal right to force them to payout?
