The person is unmarried and living without any dependent. Is it advisable to buy life insurance (that is essentially not a term life insurance) at the age of 25?

No one here can answer your question. Some agents will tell you yes, others might tell you no. To determine the answer, you need to perform a needs analysis -- what are your objectives, goals, and needs?

If you are simply looking for a way to save money, there are other options which could be better or worse.

No one here knows the answers. Meet with a local agent and discuss your situation. If his first questions are either "How much can you afford?" or "How much insurance were you thinking of buying?" he has the solution to either question, and the winner will not be you. So find a different agent.
