In my agency there are debates over this topic. I have an agent tell me that joint work between a licensed P&C guy and Life and Health guy can both receive commissions from P&C sales, in Louisiana. I have another agent telling me that, the P&C agent can not share commissions with the Life and Health agent, unless both hold P&C licenses.....?
Thanks

This is the person you need to listen to. It is a problem for unlicensed persons to be paid commissions for any insurance product sale. It could be prosecuted as a misdemeanor or be handled administratively by the insurance commissioner. Don't accept any commission splits that don't come directly from the insurance campany -- they won't pay a person who's not licensed and appointed.Add your comment
