I am in the process of upgrading the companies I can offer term and whole life insurance through. If you guys had to pick your top 5 favorite companies to offer policies through, who would they be. If possible, tell me why. Thanks.

If you understood the business, you would realize it makes no difference what companies any other agent likes, you choose a company and its products based on what's right for your client. What might be my "top 5 favorite companies" might be your client's "five companies I never want to do business with". No two clients have the same needs, so a list of five companies is likely to be insufficient in and of itself.

Following are 3

Assurity Life for NonMed Term and final expense. The rates are good and goes up to 350K on term without any medical investigation.

Transamerica for Term, GUL, and final expense

The rates are good too here on term and TransACE GUL available with Long Term Care rider. You can avail anything up to 50k with decent rates and there is no height weight chart on final expense.

Western Catholic Union for Whole Life

The company is small but the rates are impressive.

According to the American Association for Justice, here's a list of the 10 worst insurance companies.

10. Liberty Mutual

9. Torchmark

8. United Health

7. Farmers

6. Well point

5. Conseco

4. State Farm

3. AIG

2. Unum

And the worst insurance company in America, for seven of the last 10 years. Come on, you all know who it is.....

1. Allstate

*This list has nothing to do with my opinion. It was actually published information. It's not that I disagree with it though.

SBLI and Banner should be 1 and 2.

Banner has a unique "laddered term" product where people can ladder coverage in a 30 year policy while only paying a single policy fee.
