I'm looking for a good lead company, any recommendations? Also, what is your opinion about virtual sales? Is it profitable as running appts? I'm looking for a more economical way to market myself.

ruinsrd, I've been in the financial services business since 1985 - 29 years and there aren't any lead generation companies that are going to do a better job for you than you can do yourself by generating your own leads.
Leads that you generate yourself don't cost you anything except spoken words out of your mouth to a qualified prospects ears.
That being said you need to target market and don't try to be all things to all people.
My 2 cents...probably only worth a penny...

Gary,
Your 2 cents is actually invaluable to me. I could've spent a lot of time shopping around with different lead companies, only to waste time and money.
Any ideas on how to attract qualified prospects without using your sphere of influences such as your family, friends and without buying leads? Most people have advised me to use social media but I'm not that technically savvy.
A penny saved is a penny earned............... thanks!

I think the virtual sales idea is great. There recently was an article in Life Insurance Selling Magazine about a guy who sold over 500 policies last year and didn't meet a one. Every sale came straight from his website.

Its not easy to work in the virtual world with insurance sales. With that being said I spent years to do just that. We have a few hundred agents around the country who use our platform to sell life and health 100% by phone. We have never had anyone write 500 policies in a year doing this but I have seen over 300 several times. My last year of writing was just over 350 in one year. Working by phone instead of in person if done with the proper tools can be very profitable.
