Quality of IUL policies

How can an agent tell if a given IUL policy is decent and if it is appropriate for a particular client.?

Most agents cannot, because they don't even understand how the policy works. The prepare an illustration using company-provided software and believe the statements to be accurate and ironclad, which they are not.

It takes more than superficial effort to understand the value, benefits, and costs of any UL policy, especially IUL/VUL.
