Friend married for 37 years. Separated for 10 months.
Husband died from cancer. On Morphine since December 2007. Changed beneficiary end of January 2008 to girlfriend. Girlfriend refused to pay for funeral.
Friend buried him and needs proceeds from insurance to pay credit card bill for funeral expenses. Does she have a case if she wants to dispute the beneficiary change. The jerk also changed IRA beneficiary at the same time.
Children and wife were left with nothing and girlfriend looks like a golddigger. Any advice?

Yes, I'd get an attorney and quickly!

Yeah Lori is right. The girl should get an attorney to settle that case legally. The attorney can provide legal advice to that kind of problem. We can never tell, she might get her share.
