Hi. I am a 28 year old Professional working in an advertising firm and I am thinking of starting an investment. after doing some reserch I found out about India's first Online ULIP benig offered by Bajaj Allianz which is called iGain. They claim to be different than others because
Are all these claims by Bajaj Allianz real and how much will buying the Ulip online help me. Please advice me on this.
- iGain does not have an intermediary – you are the sole beneficiary. Hence there are no deductions as distribution fee from your premiums. This feature allows for a higher allocation of money to various funds, giving your money that additional boost.
- From the 11th year onwards, iGain increases the allocation of units by 2% to enhance your investments. So while you pay a 100% premium, 102% of it is invested.
- The premiums you pay towards iGain are eligible for tax benefits as per Section 80C and Section 10(10)D of the Income Tax Act.

No doubt on the tax benefits at all. BAJ-ALZ was offered through MLM( chain marketing) hence gained many customers throguh this way. And of course, a special distribution network was absent. They have gained the results beyond expections (Agent's comission saved) and this might have enabled them for newer steps. Its results are found quite OK as advised by many insurance experts. But I suggest to ask for what insurance benefits are covered? As, when you follow money, you should not totally ignore the insurance part.

Hi,
The other day I was going through the igain calculator page and it seemed it would help to calculate the premium upon their benefits. Their payment procedure seems to have certain options- you could pay them each month, on a quarterly basis, after every 6 months or yearly (whichever way it suits your pocket).
They say, they'd allow a swift credit card transfer or a check pick-up too. They'd also have the option of ECS debit which enables you to get your premiums debited directly from the salary account that you have.

I think if Allianz is associated with that indian group then it must be good and will deliver on the promises. indeed it seems a smart way of reaching out to customers directly.
