Say I obtain life insurance today- no prior medical history- never hospitalized. No health problems. But I go to the Dr next week and find out I have cancer. Can the insurance company cancel my policy?[/url]

As long as the policy is in force, you are in the clear. If you apply for insurance and then your health changes before the policy is in force, it depends on the specific policy and whether a check was given with the application.

If the policy has been issued all underwriting is complete the policy will pay..If you have submitted an application and even if you submit premium with that application until the policy is approved by the insurance company and accepted by the insured the policy can be declined, or rated not as written.
