The best life insurance depends on what your goals are, what you can afford, and what type of life insurance you need.
There are many very good companies that offer life insurance.
You may want to sit down with a licensed life insurance agent in your area to discuss your situation and determine your needs.
Then, you can compare your options and review the life insurance plans and prices available to you.
When comparing plans make sure you review the financial rating of the insurance companies, and ask any questions you have to make sure you fully understand the policy.
The Insurance Information Institute and Lifehappens.org provide good information to explain how life insurance works, and reports about leading life insurance companies in America.

Hi,
The best life insurance depends on what your goals are, what you can afford, and what type of life insurance you need.
I guess the type of life insurance also has a lot to do about the people we would be leaving behind. Life insurance is after all aimed at securing their future in our absence. So, I'd pick my coverage keeping other things in mind- like my age and the age of the beneficiaries apart from what I may easily afford.

Also the purpose of the policy is an important factor besides the type and price of the policy. If you are aiming at paying off your debts after your death, you may wish to purchase a policy that would cover the amount of debt that you have. However, if you wish to secure the future of your child by accumulating money that would pay for his/her college education, you may then consider a plan that would grow with time to offer good return upon maturity.

You can try call different insurance companies and researching them online. Narrow down your search to a few companies based on the research you did on the Internet.
Talk with an agent from each company to get a sense of how customer-oriented they are.

what is the best life insurance in america?
Or do you mean best life insurance company?
There is no such thing as the best life insurance in america. But there is a thing as the best life insurance for you. What i mean is that the value of the importance of life insurance depends on the needs of the insured. A life insurance policy that is applicable to you may not be applicable to others or should i say, may not be right for others. We buy life insurance based on our needs.

To label anything as the best life insurance in America would be presumptuous. There are several life insurance options available in the market today, the question that arises is which one is the best suited for you? When choosing a life insurance company make sure that it has a rating of A or higher (the highest being A++). These ratings are available online but ensure that they are current (updated within the last six months or less).
With regards to choosing the best type of policy, you basically have two categories to choose from – permanent life insurance and term life insurance. Permanent life insurance offers coverage for your entire life or up to 100 years. The premiums are on the higher side as there is a cash value element involved in this type of policy that can be withdrawn in case the insurer needs funds for any reason. The main types of permanent life insurance are whole life, universal and variable life insurance.
Term life insurance is a popular type of policy due to its high death benefits and inexpensive premiums. Since this type of policy is restricted to the term period it is purchased for a term (between 1 to 30 years) and there is no investment element involved, the rates are generally affordable for a large number of people. Types of term life insurance include Return of Premium (ROP) policies and level term life insurance.
Ultimately the decision regarding which type will depend on how much you are willing to pay and what sort of coverage you require. There are pros and cons to all types available so take the time out to study each policy individually and decide on which would best suit your individual requirements.
