Does my child need another life insurance policy? Or, is it that I am allowed to add him on my own policy?

I must say its a good move of taking a child policy for your kid. But before taking any policy please look at the rider you are taken with the policy. like paying rider( u r the payer, if somthing happens to you, then whts the insurer company's stand after that. there are company's who continue your child's policy from there own n also they provide some benefits to your child after your death). also you got ur three generation insured if you take ur childs policy.

I needed to know whether it’s necessary to buy a separate life insurance policy for my child as well? Will it cost a lot more when he becomes adult?

You may add your child in your own life policy by buying a child death benefit rider. Adding a child to your own life insurance costs little so you may add him. But since usually children are our dependents, they don’t need a separate life insurance. There shouldn’t be any worry as healthy young adults can avail cheap policies too.
