Guys!

I think its not too easy to determine the coverage amount that I'd need for myself and my children.
Never really got scared to look for cover like now!
How would a mother know the exact worth of life insurance that she'd need for her infant?

SD,

Tell me the age of the child, gender, and how much you are looking for you and I'll tell you how much it will cost.

Looking for a little 'something' for me, too. I have a Life Insurance policy through the Military. However,..looking for something for me. Something, for my son and I, that possibly build 'cash value'. I'm 45 years old ( I have the gray hair to prove it!! ) and female.

SD,

This is for your son. You can get 25k UL guaranteed for life for $174.50/yr. There won't be much cash value accumulation. If you want something that will also accumulate cash value, let me know how much you are willing to spend per year and I'll run some numbers for you.

Let me know how much you are willing to spend on yourself and on your son for life policies with cash value accumulation... just for the sake of running the quotes. This will be a good starting point.

By the way are you in California?

Thanks for the quote, VICTOR. Is there a difference between U.L. and 'regular' Life Insurance? Is the coverage you get 'equal' with BOTH policies?

There is no such thing as regular life insurance, so I don't know how to answer this question.

With the universal life policy I quoted you... it's simple, the insured dies and the company pays. The death benefit is guaranteed as long as you continue to pay the premium. There will be some cash value, but nothing that you are going to retire on or buy a car with.

I keep getting these mailers for global life and I see them on television trying to get grand parents to purchase policies for their grand kids, what are your thoughts on this victor, do you think that these $5000 policies that they offer on kids is worth taking out. They seem reasonable enough and the kid can then carry it on after their 18Th birthday. Do you think this is a good policy to take out or not?

Any permanent policy can be carried on after age 18, so that isn't anything special. I'm not familiar with global life's products other than having seen their commercials. They are not one of the carriers that I work with. Whenever one of my clients wants a very small policy on their children, I sell them Genworth's Universal Life policy. You can get a 25k policy on a 3 yr old for about $160/yr and 175 for a 16 yr old.

I don't sell alot of policies to minors though. I deal more with seniors and wealth transfer.
