Start by checking with his attorney of course.

Then call his former agent (the agent that handled his auto and/or home insurance). Request that s/he look through your brother's file, as they may have referenced a life policy with another company if there was a previous conversation regarding life insurance.

If these don't turn anything up I'd look at the following:
Bank safety deposit boxes
Personal records

Good luck!

it's pretty easy!! just ask your brother (if he is in that condition to answer you),if not , then you can find those details with his agent. If even over there you won't find any clue then better you search for his bank lockers (with POA from your brother) there surely you will get some evidences.

You can also talk with your family members & find out your brother has any life insurance or not. The best person who can tell you is his wife if he is married off course. Other wise you can consult with his insurance agent for more details.

Hmmm, but Amit I don't think its possible for the OP to ask his brother. You may have to read his post again.

However, you may wish to go through the following topic to learn more about your alternatives.

Thanks Juanita, the link provided by you was really good & there i came to know that even some websites do keep the records of all these issues,so whenever any person wishes to obtain any such data then surely they will be getting positive information about the issue. there are currently 2 -3 sites which are offering these types of service.

Consult his attorney. Or you can ask your parents or relatives. They might have known about it from the start. You can also ask your nearest insurance company. Inquire about it. (i don't know if its possible) I am just giving some options. :)
