worried spouse

I am worried that my husband has purchased life insurance policies (on my life) that I don't know about. I live in Texas.

Who do I telephone, or where do I go on the internet, to find out if any life insurance policies exist on my life?

She didn't know or doesn't know? She doesn't know if he has or hasn't. Has he one or none? Has she been running around on him and he plans to off her or has he and she knows. Who knows? We know there's no "system" for her to check.

I don't want to throw a red flag into the mix but I just can't resist the urge.
www.mib.com has the ability to track almost any policy issued in America over the last 12 to 15 years. There is a small cost (around $75) and they'll probably need a great reason to conduct such a search. It can be done though.

But Mark did you see the size of my red flag?

I went to the site you gave the link.

It says:

If you are an executor, or administrator (in cases where there have been no probate proceedings, a surviving spouse or other relative eligible for appointment may be entitled to order the report)...

The decedent's name is searched against our Policy Locator database.

The OP is still alive, we hope.

I didn't see anything that claims anyone can get life insurance information just for the payment of a $75 dollar fee.

After all, these are private contracts between the contract owner and the insurance company.

Did I miss something?

I never claimed that my red flag was larger than yours; this is not a case of red flag-envy.

I know that in some situations, the administrators of mib.com will run searches for people who are still alive. Of course there are the little things like proving who you are, why you need the information, and whether you are entitled to said information.

I hope they weren't doing it just for me.

Hi there..even when I see many are opting for the MIB database...I'd still maintain that the success rate with the MIB database is not too high!

Yes, as Lori has mentioned over here the check books might show you a way....at the same time I'd tell you to go through his income tax returns. You'd surely come to know of the location they had been dispatched for. Also, don't forget to search for the notices that got served to him from time to time in connection with his premium payments.
