I was told that VUL are bad unless you are really rich.

I was told that the cash value is not yours. What are the pro's and con's about a VUL.

Consider how long you need insurance. You can get term to be level for 30 years or even a low cost policy just to give you a guaranteed death benefit until age 100 with little to no cash value. You buy insurance for the death benefit anyway.It's unlikely that you'd need a whole life policy, but maybe a to age 100 policy combined with some term.You can see the differences here The quote engine requires no personal information to use.

This sounds like a great idea. I'd like to see term coverage to age 100. I'm sure that'll save you a bunch of money over those rotten old whole and universal policies. Cash value - bahhh.
