Insurance pay to replace?

Why did not my insurance pay to replace everything I loss?

Insurance is a means of indemnification (making financial loss good), and they replace also, but only when it is more economical for them (lower liability for the insurers).

Replacing everytime and everything may create problem, imagine someone losing his wife/husband/... and demanding for a new one from Insurance Company as a nominee under the policy issued, or the Insurance Company offerring the same inplace of providing financial compensation. :)

Hully, what's the story? As Das mentions you seem to have a history of very bad luck and in many cases providing pretty thin info.

As aryanbiz mentions though the settlement you will recieve in the event of a homeinsurance claim where your posessions are damaged or destroyed may be based on a depreciated or market value. Clothes that are 5 years old are not worth what you paid for them for example.
