I have a client who thinks they have a blanket coverage on their delivery drivers. The description sounds a lot like a hired and non-owned, but I am doing my duediligence to be sure there isn't a blanket policy out there.
I have asked for a scheduled list of the autos and drivers so I can verify coverage. Is there anything else I should ask for or look for to be sure?
Thank you

When you say "blanket coverage", this usually refers to a disability policy, not auto insurance. Pizza delivery drivers' personal autos should be covered under a commercial/business owner's auto policy as "non-owned" autos ("Symbol #9"), and thus would not need to be scheduled. Pizza delivery drivers come and go as quickly as the pies sometimes. Who would want to try to keep up a schedule of covered autos in that circumstance?
You should be asking to see all of their commercial liability/property policies, or BOP/BAP policies -- and not just for whose autos are or are not covered. They either have them or they don't. Might also want to see their Workers' comp policy while you're at it.
And a client who is reluctant to provide their policies . . . ? Probably don't need them as a client.

Hello, ya'll!! Had a frustrating day, with a 'client'. Well.......here's the situation. Where I work, we can driver our 'clients' certain palces, But..ONLY up to so many miles, per week. If we go OVER those certain miles (actually it's 20 miles per week), the drivers (us) are NOT covered (Insurance wise) by our company. Today,..my 'client' wanted to just go out and shop, meet family, etc. The palces that she wanted to go woyld have been MORE milage than she was alllowed. I told her the rules/regualtions, of our comapny (she already knows, however) and I even called our office to verify everything. She basically said, "I don't give a damn, you're going with me, anyway." To make a long story short, I didn't go with her and (after I left her home) she called our office and told them I never showed up!! GOD...I'm just trying to abide by what I can and cannot do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

These days you need to careful about your clientbase. You'd often come across people who don't have this workers comp policy in place. Beware of them!
Max is right in describing the nature of delivery boys..it's a wastage of time if you'd like to maintain a schedule that way.
