It might not directly effect your insurance. but if you keep on getting such tickets, it will effect your driving record. This might increase your premiums as you'll be a high risk for the insurer for being a driving rules violator.

A speeding ticket or any kind of traffic violation will eventually result in your insurance premium going up, especially if you choose not to pay the fine. It will also affect your driver’s record adversely. A poor driving record will end up becoming the grounds for the rejection of your driver’s license renewal application. Although you don’t need to have a driver’s license to buy auto insurance, it can be extremely difficult to obtain a policy without one. In case you are applying for auto insurance for the first time, the underwriters will pay very close attention to your driving record. All traffic offences and unpaid tickets on your record would add to your risk rating and drive up your insurance rates. In severe cases your policy application might also be rejected.
