I am very fond of gardening and have purchased several expensive shrubs and trees to plant in my yard. These are very dear to me. What I want to know is that, can these be anyhow covered under my homeowners insurance? Please any advice is highly appreciated.

Homeowners insurance does have landscaping coverage. Landscaping coverage generally includes plants, shrubs, trees, and lawns.

However, the amount of coverage may vary widely from one policy to another.

Some insurers also offer a landscaping endorsement, which is an added rider to the homeowners policy to increase the coverage limits. Needless to say, that your premium will increase for that.

Ask your agent to find the appropriate policy to suite your specific needs.
