Does my HO policy cover the theft of precious stones, art and electronic goods? The house belongs to me but my husband purchased the policy.

Yes, they should be covered if they have been explicitly listed under the policy. What kind of HO insurance do you have?

Check with your agent.

You most likely have limited theft coverage for your precious stones, possibly a $1,000 limit. You may have limits for some electronic equipment, and you may want to schedule your artwork for broader insurance coverage.
As Brianna mentioned, your agent or insurance company are the only ones able to answer your question.

Theft is usually covered but coverage comes with a limit. Fine precious and semi precious stones, fur, electronic goods are usually covered but fine art needs to be covered with a more focused form of protection.
Fine art cannot be replaced with 'something similar' and therefore the need for it to be specifically covered.

I would like to know if I can purchase a theft policy only.
