Change of insurance agent possible?

I have a homeowner’s insurance with a company (I don’t want to name). I need to change certain terms of my policy and thought of consulting my agent. He doesn’t respond favorably to my queries, though he had been sweet-mouthed at the time of purchasing the policy. I’m really pissed off at the way he is reacting now (doesn’t take my calls or reply to mails properly). Can I change my agent but remain with the same insurer?

Depending on the company, that can require an act of god. Insurance companies usually have deals with agents where the insurance company's offer is not to put other agents in the same area and that that particular agent handles all of a certain area.

Call the insurance company directly and let them know about the issue. Let them know that unless you start getting the service you are paying for that you are going to go with another carrier. if that does not work, move up the ladder.
