I have a split level home whit no history on water damage but in the past 2 weeks where I live there has been more than 25 inches of water due to storms and heavy rain, I put a claim to my insurance and got a call back saying that I wasn't covered I am not in a flood zone but the rain has seeped thru the house, the have not had an adjuster come out or anything. any suggestions??

I think you should call a good leak detection specialist.Nowadays these leak detection services provide various facilities .They can clear water damage soon and will also demand money from your insurance company on your behalf. These services have experts who deals with all insurance related problems and act as bridge in between the insured and the insurer.

This has nothing to do with "leak detection" -- this was a "flooding" event, which is not usually covered by a standard homeowner's policy. Even persons who reside in "non-flood hazard" zones are subject to flooding event.
