Will water damage from bad flashing be covered by my policy? Mine is a HO5 policy

It will not be considered as a sudden damage. So, insurers will deny coverage, in all probability.

There is not enough information for Stacy to make this statement. Wind damage is a covered loss and flashing damaged by wind would likely result in a covered claim.
On the other hand, flashing which has eroded due to corrosion and allows water to enter the dwelling, that water damage would probably not be covered.

the flashing itself is not covered unless wind damaged. however, the interior damage would be covered under a HO3 or HO5. The interior damage would not be covered under a HO1 or HO2 unless there was exterior wind damage.

I think so Flash itself not covered,but yours HO5 policy so it may cover all interior damages.
