Yes, you’ll need your own license to be an adjuster in Florida.

The process will depend on whether you want to be a public adjuster, an independent adjuster, a company employee, a temporary independent adjuster or a temporary company employee. Whatever your choice might be, you’ll need to apply accordingly and sit for an exam.

You must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the U.S. or authorized to work there. Whether you’re a resident in Florida or a non-resident, you must get finger-printed, and preferably be without a felony conviction. Public adjusters may need to file a bond or work under supervision for a fixed time.

Check the Florida Department of Financial Service's "Licensure and Compliance" page for further details or this:

the easiest way is to hang around the parking lot of your local package store and wait for them to come pick up temp labor. seriously the profession is seriously overcrowded by unqualified people, hence my first note. try catadjuster.org and be thick skinned. there are diploma schools on every internet corner, none of which prepare you. the best way is to knock on insurance company doors and try to become a staff adjuster with them. that will teach you the business
