Recoverable depreciation

Is there a time limit during which the repairs must be completed in order to get the recoverable depreciation? My claim has been approved, but I'd like to wait a year before having the repairs done so that I don't have to pay the deductible. Is there a rule on this?

Yes... this information is contained in your policy. I've typically seen it to be 60 days.

Also... as in your other thread... if you have a mortgage on the home then they are going to be on the check as well. If you don't cash the check it will expire and you will need to ask for another one. Also, if you don't have the repairs done in time for RCV to be paid, you will need to pay the difference out of your pocket.
