My 6 year old son who is suffering from autism threw one of his toys in anger, which hit and completely smashed the screen of our 37 inches plasma TV. I was in the room and I know that he didn’t do it intentionally. We are covered against accident but there is also a clause that states that they won’t approve claims resulting from vandalism or abuse. What should I do?

Depends on what perils the policy covers. I don't know that I've ever seen a homeowners policy with less then a $500 deductible. So I wonder if your loss would exceed your deductible.

Most policies for Personal Contents (Coverage C) is based on a Named Peril meaning it has to be listed. I do not believe you will find any of the named perils that will cover this. If you are still not sure, file the claim and let your claims adjuster determine coverage.
