I had an insurance check made out to me and my mortgage, I put it away to do the roof repairs later ($7,500). Sold the house and I still have the expired check, what can I do?

Ask the insurance company for a replacement and then get the mortgage company to sign it.

Hello,
I have the same issue with my roof and State farm will only repair part of the roof. I informed them that i had replacement cost insurance and i do NOT want a two tone roof. They sent me a check for a third of what the replacement cost would be for half the roof (totally crazy). I put a phone call in to corporate state farm and asked them how would they like a two tone roof on their home. I was told that my problem would go to upper management and a response would come in a few days. What was your outcome of your situation if you don't mind me asking

Not sure how that is the same problem.
Technically State Farm does not owe to replace the entire roof. I'd say it's unlikely that they will do this as it comes up quite often.
