Hello, I have read through many of the forum post and find them very informative. However, I think my situation is a little different from the others therefore I hope you can help.

I was recently told (family secret) that a relative convinced my dad on his dead bed to switch his beneficiary to the relative therefore replacing me. In which I received NOTHING. Unfortunately this was 13 years ago is it too late to contest. I don't even know the insurance company.

Im just so discouraged and need advice. Please help!

I don't think so. You have no say in who the beneficiary is or was, only the policyowner does. Because the policyowner is dead -- and has been for 13 years or more -- there is no way to know what reason he had for making the change, and it no longer matters. Why not . . .

this was 13 years ago

You are up to 13 years too late in asking the question. Even if there was a criminal act committed, the statute of limitations on that expired almost as long ago as your father.
