living in house while remodeling

Can I live in a house while I remodel it? Insurance agent says I have to have something more than HO to do so.

No mortgage on the house, it just needs to be brought up to date.

One point, I just purchased the house so there isn't any insurance on it at this time.

'Something more" What, more? I can't think of anything. Ask your agent what he/she thinks you need.

While nothing prevents you from living in the home while undergoing remodeling, most people don't want to live with the noise and debris. Your home will not be considered vacant while undergoing remodeling as long as construction is going on regularly toward completion. I think, like tcope, your agent is seriously mistaken.
