hi, I am carrying my regular insurance papers to court now that I've hit a truck ! I also now have a ticket for running a red light. Do I need to produce any additional proof ?

hey! in this case the judge may sentence you to 30 days in a jail on charges of contempt of court for failing to comply with the Law incase you fail to produce necessary documents. Your producer and insurer should be well aware of the papers needed in this case. So you must insist on getting everything in a timely manner, now that you're already late.

Thats much better, still I'm sure that there would be some $3000 worth of repairs. Thats why its always better to take all your additional insurance papers with you. All the best !

Yeah, you may have thought that you'd just need the insurance policy or a letter from your insurance producer (agent) which states that you already have liability insurance. Am I right ?
But what I could perceive from your case clearly suggests that you'd need to manage a letter of Restitution from the claims dept. belonging to your insurer. This is suggested since the law demands a proof that its possible for you to cover all the costs associated to this accident. take care..Fatman

hi, nothing except that you'd need to contact your producer or other insurance representative now, in order to draw the final accident report. Once the report is filed, the adjuster will call you up automatically. Hope you'll get over it soon
