We had hail damage. I then contracted out the work to various companies, and dealt with the issues that came up with them. I would like to get reimbursed for my time, just like any general I would have hired. Is there a way to go about that. Thank you in advance.

The insurance company owes you for the cost to make repairs. If they were to write up the cost, especially before the repairs, they would most likely add in Overhead and Profit (+20%). If you were to submit the bills then most likely they would deny paying you as you are not responsible as a general contractor would be. That is, you are not really acting as a general contractor. You are simply doing what any other home owner would do.
