Guys! I'm from CO and I'm turning 16 in just 3 months time. Would it really be a problem, if I allow my friend to drive my car!
I wanna know the facts relating to insurance, in case he comes up with any road accident.

Since you share your dad's household, your car is pretty much dependant on his insurance. So if you are head bent on lending it to your friend and that too without your dad's consent then be sure that his insurance company is not liable to pay towards any accident that your friend might commit. Now whats the consequence if they catch me driving uninsured!

Hi yeah, nothing much..jus that your car may get impounded. Its natural that your parents' insurance would cover you and that they always have the right to add your name to their family car policy. But I believe its always better that teens get their names as primary drivers especially when you have your own cars.
take care, Fatman
