My home had some wind damage due to a storm a few weeks back. We filled a claim because it caused the roof to leak. The following week we received a letter alerting us that we would be getting a check in X amount for the repairs. Today, out of the blue, my insurance company tells me that the company we filed with has asked for proof of roof repairs for a claim we filed in 2011. I have no receipts; my husband patched the roof where it was leaking and we replaced the ceiling tile where it leaked. We're trying to save money to get a tin in the future. The claim we filed for this new damage was specified by us in specific areas, but when the person came to take pictures and write the claim he took pictures on the roof and in rooms where I said we weren't filing claims on damage. I'm not sure what to do because I have no proof of what we did 8 years ago! HELP!!!
