I have my medical policy with New India Insurance. Its a government Company. I have a cover of INR 2 lac for me & INR 1 lac for my spouse & child.
Now My friend has suggested me to change to Relaince Insurance as they would be giving cover of INR 4 lac to all my family members with same premium.
But I heard from somewhere that reliance is not paying the claims.
What I should do?

Before changin or dropping any policy- please check the company out.
You can check them out with others who have the policy also, and see what they offer and if they pay the claims..Good Luck..Karen

I don't think so. Reliance is a very big concern in India. And due to the competition in the insurance sector where most of these companies are competing against the public sector companies, most of these private sector companies would not indulge in repudiating the claims. In such a case, you can always approach the consumer forum.

Can you get a copy of your friends policy to do some comparison, that is what I would do if you have a friend that has family and your situation is similar. Will one of your friends fit this description and are they willing to share this information with you?
