Normally it is allowed in most of the states but you need the car declared ‘road worthy' by the state authority before you can actually drive it again.

Goodmorning member-ali, I agree with Jeremy, the ‘salvage title' on the car may not hinder you from buying the insurance coverage for it. But it may push the premium up.
The insurance companies don't care much about the title of the car while insuring it, but withholding the truth about the title may be considered as the ‘misrepresentation of facts' which may bring some troubles for you in the long run.

Yeah, you may face higher premium rates for the salvage title but the car is insurable anyway. But before covering it, the insurer may ask you get it vouched by an authorized mechanic that the car is drivable and qualifying the road safety parameters, got it :D
