Are Discount Medical programs useless ?

We were rejoicing -- as my spouse and me were moving down south from new jersey -- we had, sporadically, gone without a health insurance and, though we have an existing plan (it's not good for sure !) -- we wouldn't have it anymore, once we get to move –

I had been doing some research into discount medical programs, and wondered if there is anyone who could recommend one that, if not good, is at least usable.

Most of these are mere discounts, not insurances, as you said; only some are okay. And above all, be careful and read between the lines, I remember, once I got trapped by them. You could definitely find relevant information on the internet, until you get settled.

The insurance related discounts are of no use if you have a dearth of funds to pay. Its bad that some of the plans have no links whatsoever to ppo networks. Almost every plan you find is expensive. If you intend to have a plan, don't pay more than $20/month for outpatient & inpatient discounts.

It shouldn't be a problem to have insurance all the time, so why does moving south keep you from getting insurance?
