Hi, I've heard that some of the health insurance companies are indeed trying to promote Medical tourism. I'd be interested to know more about it.

I'm sure many of us wouldn't mind traveling overseas if the expenses are much lesser. Yes, we'd also expect the quality of care to be worth it.

The cost is certainly a bigger issue than other things. There are very few insurance policies that would cover us outside our home land.

Each year we're seeing more and more people going for treatments abroad, their main concern being follow-up care. Insurance carriers are gradually inquiring more about such prospects.

img has a lot of different policies with varying deductibles, maximums and benefits. I have never sold a single travel plan nor have i ever been asked for one. But just in case i run into a client with a need, it's there.
