Difference between All Lines and P&C adjusters license

Currently an independent auto appraiser. Interested in getting an adjusters license. I would like to know the difference between P&C and All Lines licenses? What the one offers that the other doesn't

I have licenses in 8 states for P&C with Texas as my home state. I live in Missouri that does not require a license. I would like to get involved in the auto damage area. Do I have to take the all lines course in Texas. I took the 40 hour on line course and the proctored test. I was hoping I don't have to go through all that again for an auto damage license. Any suggestions?

How do you figure that Missouri does not require insurance agents to be licensed? No exam required if already resident licensed in another state, but licensed nevertheless. There is no state in the US that does not require insurance producers to be licensed. Insurance/financial services is the most highly regulated industry in the country.

The following lists come directly from the MO Dept of Insurance website
( http://insurance.mo.gov/industry/faq/license.php#no%20exam ):

Insurance Licensing issues producer licenses for the following lines:

Life
Life, variable contract
Accident and health
General casualty
Property
Personal lines
Title
Prepaid legal
Restricted to credit (No exam required)
Restricted to travel (No exam required)
Crop

Please contact the Licensing Section for information on the following licenses:

Bail bond agent
General bail bond agent
Surety recovery agent
Surplus lines
Public adjuster
Public adjuster solicitor

an auto damage license

Do you mean a "Public Adjuster" license? Of course you will have to take a license exam in your resident license state, and you will have to obtain licensing in any other state in which you wish to work.

If you live in Missouri, why are you not resident licensed there, and non-resident in Texas?

The all line is more beneficial if compare to P&C license.Becaue in P&C we enable us to work in auto or in similar field but in all line we can choose anything to work with.Reading this article gives too much knowledge to us.

Hi. I was a licensed NC P&C agent for 10 years. My P&C licensed have expired and I now want to switch gears and pursue adjusting. Does anyone know if the NC Adjusters exam is similar to the P&C? Should I invest in a pre-licensing course or will the knowledge I have in insurance now be enough to pass the test? Thank you.

You may have a good enough understanding to pay an adjuster license exam. I would say this, talk to some recently licensed adjusters and ask about the kids of questions they saw on their exams. It will let you know if you need additional study.

Can I use a Texas All Line Adjuster License in a Public Adjuster capacity in the state of Pennsylvania without taking the PA Public Adjusters Exam?

Not usually. Emergency situations, such as following a natural disaster, often result in a temporary lifting of local licensing requirements because the normal contingent of licensed personnel is stretched too thin and the objective is to get claims resolved quickly -- which would not happen with the normal resources.

If you want to work in PA on a regular basis, you need to be licensed there.

Well I've just did the Texas all lines, with adjuster pro, i really recommend it to anyone that wants to take the course, they really break it down for you, they teach you 2 or these things and then a quiz, and goes on like that, over and over, by the time you get to the end, damn, the final exam is so easy, lol trust me i never knew any of the other things other than auto, and i pass on my first try, and if you do fail, you can take it over as many times as you need to pass FREEEE... lol its the best site tp test for your license...
