I am finding difficult to get a travel insurance that will cover mountaineering over 5000 ft. Could anyone help me out?

Your climbing guide could have some help for you. Ask him.

Yes, life insurance would make an excellent addition but mountaineers insurance covers a lot more things than just life. Like any other sport or leisure activity insurance, it covers the loss of one eye, limb, both eyes or both limbs or all four. Other than that it also covers general liability, equipment malfunction, emergency medical aid and search & rescue.
