Workers are paying higher premiums, deductibles and co-pays for employer-sponsored health care this year than in 2007, continuing a trend that since 1999 has seen premiums more than double, while wages fall further behind, two new studies document.

Right, the health insurance costs are rising rapidly mainly due to the rise in the healthcare expenses. Its forcing many families to go without coverage. IMO the health care system needs thorough modification. Also, the administrative authority needs to put more control over the health insurance providers.
The cost of rising healthcare insurance is affecting the patients, nursing homes, healthcare providers at the same time.

The growing health insurance cost has remained a trend since 1997, since then the premium rates of the health insurance coverage have become doubled. Its now even outpacing wages, forcing the workers to pay more in terms of premium, deductible and co-pay.
Some are also identifying the growing immigration problem as one of the probable cause of rise in the health care costs. Many states are now enacting laws that’ll prevent the illegal immigrants from receiving health care benefits under the state healthcare system, and thus are trying to lower the pressure upon the tax payers.
However, a complete makeover of the health care system may improve the whole situation.
