I recently decided to make a career change and landed in the insurance field. I have a job offer to become an agent but wanted to find out if the pay is worth it. Basically for the 1st 60 days i will be payed commission only $5 per lead sheet (dec sheet, fact finder, etc.), $30 per mono line new business policy, $75 per multi-line household, and bonuses paid as follows: $150 for $5,000 monlthy premium, $300 for $7500 monthly premium, $500 for $10,000 monthly premium and if i can get to $50,000 in the first six montha i get a $2000 bonus. After sixty days they will pay for me to get my license and then pay a base salary of $8.00hr plus 5% of all new and renew business. What do you think?
