We have taken out RV insurance to cover anything that could go wrong with the RV ( Appliances or motor vehicle related.)
In order for the insurance to be valid we have to change the oil etc and also some other things like changing the oil in the rear end of the motorhome. We have done all the required maintenance as stated in the policy and proof of that.
We had the maintenance on the rear end done in April of 2012 and the rear - end went out in August. We called Good Sam RV insurance and were told to bring it to the repair shop of our choice and have the mechanic get in touch with the insurance company.
They send out an adjuster ( after 3 weeks in the shop) and he had the oil tested and said it contained some water in it.
Their contract states " Any loss caused by improper or contaminated fuel or other fluids."
The only reason the water could have gotten in there was because the rear end was going out,. They are claiming the rear end broke because the water was in there. And they are refusing to pay the $4400 bill.
What are our options and how would one go about suing a nation wide insurance company that does not have any local offices?
Any help would be so much appreciated.
Regards Elke
