Hello to everyone

First of all, I want to greet all of you, second are my questions.
Can I earn here even if I don't have an adsense account? I just updated my profile, and I saw that it has something to do with adsense.
How many words per post?

Hey chocoguy, you can surely earn while posting without an adsence account. The adsense account is helpful when you have a blog.

Thanks,
Evan

I tried the adsense and had problems getting it to work on my blog, I have since deserted blogging, to time consuming, you have to do alot of research and be able to back it all up if you are going to be posting. I have thought about revamping and moving forward with it someday. Tooooooo busy right now to take it on.

Hello chocoguy,

If you are posting anything, anywhere on the web for someone else, you just can't want to do it for the money.

I am a freelance writer, as well as, an insurance professional and I write to learn and, quite frankly, to practice writing. I am working on a couple of books and need the practice.

Most freelance writers on the web make very little in the way of an income, but the experience can be priceless.

As far as blogging, that's a new venture for me. I have never blogged before in my life and it is taking me some time to realize the difference between a "blog" and a traditional "web site".

Blogging does take time, but as long as you post on a regular basis, whether it's everyday, once a week, or once a month, I think you can build a successful blog over time. Most people make the mistake of making many posts at one time and then never posting new information. That kind of blog will just die on the vine.

Adsense is really quite simple once you get your account set up with Google. That can take four or five days. There is an Adsense plug-in available on the Word Press admin site and that provides a post "slug" to eliminate all the complicated HTML coding inside the blog.

You can be a valuable asset to this insurance community by sharing your insurance knowledge. You can also learn a lot about insurance here.

I think that a lot of people come here with actually no insurance knowledge and submit posts just to see the income calculator go up and that's just the wrong reason to be here.

Good Luck!

P.S. Does this post belong in the "Pub"?

The OP wanted to know something off-topic, so its fine that the post is staying in the pub. :)

Thanks,
Lakemen

I thought that is what the pub is used for, topics that are off the topic, I think it is good to have other conversations besides insurance, gives the forum some variety, you get to know each other a little bit better and maybe become friends. I don't want to offend anyone but if you don't want to contribute to the conversation, then just avoid the topics that you don't like or don't care to read. That is what I do, no sense in getting aggravated or irritated with it, just don't comment.

Thanks lakeman for keeping the pub alive and kicking, need a little sidebar every now and then.

Didn't mean to sound aggravated or irritated, just simply asking a question.
