company gas card

hello i have a question i had access to the company gas card to use in the company cars sometimes the gas card did not work so i had to put gas with my money now the question is my old supervisor use to let me put gas in my car when i useto use my money for the company car when the gas card dident work the new supervisor found out and suspenede me for 3 days but i told her that my old supervisor let me what can happen to me :?: [/center]

Hi,

I guess you'd used your company's gas card to fill up your personal car without informing the higher authorities. When you'd paid for the gas out of your own pocket, you should have pursued it with the higher authorities and demanded your compensation. That would have been the right thing for you to do at that point of time.

Sorry, but does this mean that you have been more good and used your money to fill the tank of the company car? It actually have saved company's bucks. So, the new supervisor is against this arrangement? Is this the crux of the story or there is more?

Why didn't you inform the higher authority whenever the gas card didn't work? Were you used to pay some kickbacks to the other supervisor to let you use the gas card for personal use? Do as Fatman has suggested and ask the employer to compensate you for the gas.

Oh man oh man, this is really bad...I assume your former supervisor is no longer with the company? If so can you get him/her to admit to allowing you to do this? I don't know any company that would'nt lose it over something like this and you should be grateful they didn't fire you on the spot...Most companys (i've had this happen as well) would want you to pay for the gas (assuming your co card wouldn't work) then expense it to them with the receipts...or immediately contact your companys fleet services and get this card fixed...your prior supervisor was wrong as rain, and I'd be surprised if they wouldn't get fired for allowing you to do this as well..

Since they have suspended you then that means that is the disiplinary action they are taking right? If so then no worrys other than NEVER doing that again...what do you do for a living?
