hummmmm. very interesting website i came across after getting off the fon with "nick" - one of the recruiters for SHC. i asked him straight off why i would have to pay $999 as opposed to $599 to which he said it was because i was already licensed and that they would have to take more time and efforts to train me. REALLY! so, here i am, the number one agent for 5 years out of over 300 agents in a small market and they will have to take extra time and efforts to teach me how to sell???? come frickin on! on their little power point presentation that they send you after the web based interview with Fritz it says that the fees to get involved would be between $599-$1299 - so after i found out i got to pay $999 i asked NICK who was so fortunate to pay $1299 to which he responded agents who have more than 8 years experience - and since i barely have 8 years experience i only had to pay $999. lucky me. only $999. he then told me that i would be traveling extensively to which i explained that in UTAH 85% of the population is within 4 counties that are all farely close to each other, in which i happen to live. so, why the hell do i need to travel more than 90 miles to see anyone? he also told me they only have 4 agents in utah and need to have 17.... but wait, if 85% of the population is around salt lake and now they only have 4 agents what is the point of selling anywhere BUT salt lake? makes absolutely NO sense to me at all.

For those of you thinking of trying this... talk to people 'after' a few months... i doubt you will find many if any left... those that are are probably pretty desparate. Luckily, something else came along for me, but i am interested in hearing from some who have left the company, how they were able to get paid and navigate the company threats. Thanks.

Please, someone who has gotten out successfully... please let me know how you got paid for your sales... i sold about 10 and have not received a dime. They will not take or return a call or reply to an email. I don't know how they all sleep at night. We need to get together & report this company to our local agencies because they should not be allowed to scam US, let along seniors. Thanks.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I don't think you will see a dime of your money. They sent me to a collection agency when I owed them nothing. And the amount keeps going up.

PEN has the best preset appointments. They are free with a quota. You do not have to license with them, you can keep your current relationships. It is a 50/50 split on a sliding scale. The better you do, the more comp you get to keep. Contact them at policyxnet@yahoo.com

I took a long look at SHC..decided against it. Never sign up with any insurance marketing group and pay out of pocket for anything other than insurance licensing fees and exams due to your state insurance department...
most companies pay state appointment fees for you and apply these fees to your commission/advance account. Example FL has a $60 appointment one time fee per carrier.

Add to your list of "beware" SHC & NAA. Fair warning.

well I came up on SHC and they sounded really awsome and i looked at the web site and there video is cool too but when is started too investigate in to the company i quickly lost intrest in SHC. you should not have to pay a company to work for them...there just something wrong. i love a job like this but could never afford the money to start up....i just don't think this company would be really all that good to work for!

Is this company approved by the AARP? I am a senior and have never heard of SHC. It is a privately held company, or traded on the NYSE? I see that most agents are required to work 14 to 15 hrs per day, why? If your clients are requesting the services what is the chase about? :?:
