Sports Insurance offers coverage to the injuries sustained by a sportsman in any specific sport as listed in his policy. Hence it covers all the medical, legal and liability costs to the said injuries. It is a much broader term associated with a range of items belonging to professionals involved in a sport, the organizers of the event and the paid instructors to the sport. But even then its not a holistic insurance area that automatically covers all sports, unless a particular sport gets enlisted. This is a form of insurance specifically designed for the coverage needs of the insured and not for covering any extras that have not been listed.
