what rights do i have on my insurance claim that they totale

moterhome was in excellant condition.someone hit back small work openeded up enough to see water damage .my insurance totaled,tryed to hide.now i dont know my rights.feel thier forcing me to take what ever they want.i know if it was fixed it would sur[pass but isnt that my right why i got exellant insurance,motorhome 1997 31ft,loaded.in catastrope snow storm in spokane last year.where do i find my rights.not just thiers and the law saying thier right to total pay what they want.loretta

They could handle the claim as a total loss if their is $1 worth of damage. Of course they would be paying much more on the claim if they considered it a total rather then $1 in damage. If they consider it a total and you feel that it can be repaired for far less (and I doubt it can), you can elect to keep it. They will deduct it's salvage value from their offer and pay you the difference.
