You are at a bar and the "free cigarette guy/girl" comes around giving away cigs and you decide to get your friend 2 free packs. At the time you dont see the problem thinking they are just going to scan my ID no big deal. Then after they do a friend tell you that you can no longer claim non smoker on your insurance.
Is that true?
Is that true?

No, I doubt it.

Hi, have you had such an experience?
I've heard that the insurance company would get a hint through the nicotine that could be traced through your urine even after 3-4 months. Even when he's stopped smoking for a short period of time prior to the test, he'd get caught.
So, if the guy is actually a non-smoker then he'd come clean for all these tests and achieve a non-smoker rate.
Thanks, Steven

What the guest is inquiring about, is whether or not the insurance company would be able to see that his ID was scanned for some free cigarettes, thus excluding him from being able to declare himself a "non-smoker".
