liability

A man I hired to clean off mold on my home fell and broke his foot and ankle. My insurance shows Personal liability $100,00. Does this mean it will cover his medical needs and the ambulance? It also says medical payments to others $1000. What does that mean?

Medpay should pay..no liability or negligence has to occur for medpay, the injury just has to happen on your property. Unless (that is) your policy excludes 'employee'.

Liability..doubtful, (actually I'm sure)...what did you do wrong? You would've had to be found negligent (and caused his fall) for that coverage to apply.

An ambulance for a broken foot really? Does he work for a company or just do this on the side? If he has an employer this would be a work comp claim he'd have with them.

I guess the OP would only be termed as "negligent" in case the damage had been caused due to any defect within his premises. Again, it would be the OP's fault if he was aware of the defect. If it's the fault of the OP then I don't think the guy would be compensated by his employer's workmen comp. What do you think? Pinkfloydfan
