Need homeowners insurance

by cturner » Tue Sep 22, 2009 08:01 pm

The house I currently reside in belongs to my mother who is deceased. I paid the mortgage off in 2003 I pay yearly taxes also. I tried probate in 1992 but no family would sign the house over to me. I've lost 4 siblings since. Can someone please advise me.
Thank You,
Carmen

I agree with Lori, but since your post is titled "need homeowners insurance" I'd say you need an insurance agent also.
What you want to do is go to www.google.com and type: insurance agency "name of your town, name of your state"
But actually put the name of your town and state after the words insurance agency.
This will result in a list of local insurance agents you can contact to ask about insuring the house.
For an old school twist you could instead try picking up a phonebook (remember those things?) flipping to the section labeled "Insurance" and picking one of the many phone numbers listed therein.
Best of luck to you!

If you need home insurance, then I would recommend you go online, there are so many sites that offer you comparison quotes, which will at least give you an indication on how much you will need to pay

Hi cturner

Get an attorney. And who has the property papers?
